A People’s Choice quilt block contest will return to the Greene County Fair as a fundraiser for Greene County 4-H. Exhibitors may enter one 12-1/2″ by 12-1/2″  quilt block in a color and pattern of their choice. The Greene County Rams did what they could to find a tie for first place in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference by posting a 5-4 seventh-inning win over Nevada Monday in Jefferson. The Greene County Rams lost a road game 3-0 in Alleman against the North Polk Comets Monday evening. The Comets are now 15-1 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference. They were also the first to use a new Lobster Elite tennis machine, just purchased by JPRD with memorial funds and donations from the family of the late Dr Robert Burke.
