The Jefferson fire department is still tweaking the grain bin rescue equipment it purchased late in the summer. The modular tube has been powder coated to reduce friction as it’s pushed down into corn, and the firemen are considering how to push it down mechanically without also increasing pressure on the person they’re trying to rescue.
