Mild week in Greene County

December is continuing to be mild compared to the unusually cold November weather. According to volunteer weather observer John Beltz, high temperature for the week was 41 degrees and low temperature was 21 degrees. The temperature didn’t get above the freezing mark on just one day during the week ending at 7 am Friday, Dec. 12.

Ram girls fall to sixth rated Perry, 58-35

The Greene County Ram girls basketball team was able to beat class 3A eighth ranked Nevada Friday night by a four point margin, but the girls didn’t fare as well against their second ranked opponent in as many days. The Rams fell to the class 4A sixth ranked Perry Jayettes in Perry Saturday afternoon by a 58-35 score.
