Greene County wrestlers are 1-3 on the season after losing both ends of a non-conference dual meet in Jefferson Thursday. The Winterset Huskies topped the Rams 52-22 in the first meet of the night. The Carroll Tigers beat the Rams 41-18 in the third meet. In between, the Huskies beat the Tigers 42-31. Winterset is now 4-0 on the season and Carroll is 3-1.
The highlight of the night was the contest at 145 lbs between Ram junior Tommy Bradshaw and Tiger junior Justin Kaltyed. Both competed in the state tournament their freshman and sophomore seasons and Kaltyed was a state place winner in Class 3A. Bradshaw is ranked sixth in 2A and Kaltyed is ranked eighth in 3A. Thursday the win went to Bradshaw with a 9-6 decision. Ram senior Jordan Challen did not wrestle.
The Rams forfeited four times to the Huskies. In the match against the Tigers, both teams forfeited twice.
