New this year, no registration fee
A holiday gathering is a great time to talk about organizing a team for the 2015 Relay for Life. The Greene County Relay For Life committee on Friday announced online team registration is now open. New this year, there is no registration fee to sign up your team.
“Our online registration system is a quick, easy and now, free way to launch your fundraising team,” explained Jane Nelson, Relay for Life Team Ambassador. “Whether you’re joining a Relay team to honor a loved one or celebrate a survivor, the online registration is the best place to get your team organized.”
Registration information has been distributed to veteran team captains. “We have many resources to give you a great kick-start to create a new team,” explained Nelson. Those interested in creating a new team should contact Nelson at janelson1950@yahoo.com or at 515-386-3563 to begin the registration process.
Once your team is set up, your teammates can register online at http://www.relayforlife.org/greenecountyia. There, create or log-in to an account and then select a team. Team members are encouraged to sign up soon to receive event updates and fundraising support.
“The cool thing about our website is that it will auto-update all of our Relay members with how many dollars have been raised. We can see our teams battle cancer one dollar at time just by hitting the “refresh” button online,” added Nelson.

The Greene County Relay For Life event is slated for Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Community Center. Relay is an opportunity to honor cancer survivors, remember those lost, and raise funds and awareness to fight back and help end cancer forever.
