In Greene County district court Jared Dean Dennhardt, 25, of Jefferson was sentenced Nov. 14 to 90 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of assault-serious. The jail term was suspended and he was placed on informal probation for one year. He was fined $315 with a $110.25 surcharge. He must also pay restitution yet to be determined, $90 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees, and $140 court costs. (Sentencing: Honorable Adrea A. Kester)
Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignments as follows: Tauwana Rae Laue, 36, of Grand Junction, false report to public entity; and Jared Dean Dennhardt, 25, of Jefferson, eluding (one count each in two different cases). Trial dates were set for Jan 27 in every case.
Cases were initiated in district court during the week ending Nov. 14 as follows: Ryan James Brown, 42, of Jefferson, possession of methamphetamine-first offense and unlawful possession of prescription drugs (six counts); Ashley Tuhn, 28, of Jefferson, possession of methamphetamine-first offense, possession of marijuana-second offense, and unlawful possession of prescription drugs (six counts); Jose Luis Gutierrez Franco of Norfolk, NE, operating while intoxicated (OWI)-first offense; Jeffrey Lynn Jones II,37,, home town unknown, OWI-third offense, possession of marijuana-first offense, and driving while license revoked; Jennifer Sue Maloney, 37, of Scranton, OWI-first offense; and Jacob Stanley Eischeid, 22, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana-first offense.
