The librarians at the Churdan public library are looking for the ugliest Christmas sweater/sweatshirt in the area. “Does your sweater blink, drip with ornaments, is it covered in glitter, or even worse? We want to see it,” a library spokesperson said.
All area residents are invited to take their sweater “as is,” or “adorn” it to create THE ugliest. Sweaters must be in the library by Monday, Dec. 1, at 5 pm to be considered for the contest.
Sweaters will be on display Monday, Dec.1, through Saturday, Dec. 13, where library guests will have the opportunity to “vote” (50 cents/ vote) for the ugliest!
The ‘winner’ will receive a prize! The winner will be announced Saturday afternoon at the conclusion of the Lion’s Club Santa drawing. “We want to make sure you have plenty of time to wear your sweater the remainder of the month,” the spokesperson said.
This fundraising event will also feature silent auction items, which will be on display during the contest! “Vote early and vote often!”
