The Jefferson Rotary Club’s annual dinner and auction is only a week away. While finishing touches are being put on the “official” auction book, checking out the auction items on the club’s Facebook page reminds people who remember the 1960s of how much fun reading the Sears Wishbook used to be.
Imagine a fancy Italian dinner served at the Gallup House…. or an evening with dinner at the top of the Bell Tower! Barbecue? Tom Lane has it covered. Sports? Name your team and there are probably tickets that will go to the highest bidder. There’s even a highly collectible gun, Happy Hour painting and a moonlight bike ride. Click here for the club’s Facebook page: Jefferson Rotary, and visit GreeneCountyNewsOnline during the week and click on the ad/link for the complete list. Don’t forget…. the headline item up for auction is an African safari.
Tickets are still available for the dinner and auction by calling Andy Harland at 515-386-3215 or Tim Christensen at 515-386-4168. Tickets for a 50/50 cash raffle are available from any Rotarian.
