Rita Dunivan’s soybeans across N. Elm St from Fareway were harvested Friday. According to Greene County assessor Linda Spearman, there are 1,694 acres of ag land in the city of Jefferson. There are 3,666 acres of ag land in the other five incorporated towns in Greene County, for a total of 5,360 acres of urban farm land in the county.
