The fire departments from Rippey, Jefferson and Grand Junction had a joint training Saturday, Oct. 18, in Rippey. The firemen burned a vacant house that is remembered as the home of harry and Erma (Lansing) Burk Holmes. The house was purchased by the Rippey United Methodist Church with the intention of demolishing it to make space for a parking lot. ~Jean Borgeson, Rippey correspondent
