Scouts selling popcorn through Oct. 26

Cub Scout popcornScouts from Cub Scout Pack 534 and Boy Scout Troop 534 started their annual popcorn sale Friday.  The last day to order popcorn is Oct. 26, with delivery  expected Nov. 7.

There are several cheese, microwave styles, caramel, and chocolate flavors to choose from as well as regular popping corn.  And back by popular demand are Iowa State Cyclone and Iowa Hawkeye tins.  Also, donations are accepted to ship popcorn overseas to those serving our country in the military.

The proceeds from the popcorn sale help pay for hand books, materials, activities, training, etc.  Most of the money is used for camp fees so each Cub Scout and Boy Scout has the opportunity to attend summer camp.

The pack and troop are open to all boys in Greene County and surrounding communities.  Cub Scouts is for boys in first through fifth grades.  Boy Scouts is for boys in sixth grade through 18 years of age.
