Reese-Hueser named to Main Street board

Angie Reese-Hueser has been named to the Jefferson Matters: Main Street board of directors. She works at Wilcox, Polking, Gerken, Schwarzkopf, Copeland & Williams, PC as the legal assistant/paralegal to Vicki R. Copeland. Reese-Hueser grew up in Jefferson and moved back to the area after completing college. She and her husband Jon have two children. Jacob, 14, and Ethan, 12.

Heroes Dinner celebrates 140 hometown heroes

Elks Lodge 2306 of Jefferson served 140 local heroes at its third annual Patriot’s Day Heroes Dinner. Honored guests were active duty military personnel, military veterans, law enforcement officers, volunteer firemen and emergency medical personnel. The Elks were assisted in the kitchen by the Does. Past exalted ruler Jerry Roberts served as master of ceremonies.
