GreeneCountyNewsOnline asked readers for help reaching a milestone last Thursday, and publisher/editor Victoria Riley is making good on an “incentive” offered to reach that milestone.
Riley watches very basic site analytics on a daily basis: the number of visitors and the number of pages (tabs) they visit each day and over a 30 day period. Thursday morning she saw the 30-day page count was within reach of the 50,000 mark. She posted on Facebook the offer that if GCNO met that 50,000 mark that day, she would donate $50 to the Greene County Christian Action Resource Center (ARC) food pantry.
“I’m really happy to say that readers came through! They opened 1,971 pages that day, bringing the 30-day count up to 50,953,” Riley said. “I couldn’t be happier. GreeneCountyNewsOnline readers are the best!”
She thanks readers and the advertisers who make it possible to offer free news in a timely, 24/7, no inky fingers basis.
GreeneCountyNewsOnline will celebrate its first anniversary Nov. 6. Watch for details of marking that special day.
