In Greene County district court John Douglas Reed, 31, of Jefferson was sentenced Sept. 12 to two days in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of possession of methamphetamine. The jail sentence was suspended and he was placed on informal probation for one year. He was fined $315 with a $110.25 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and a $10 surcharge for drug abuse resistance education (DARE). He must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense. His driver’s license was revoked for 180 days. Reed must also pay $90 restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $100 court costs. No disposition was entered on a charge against Reed of operating while intoxicated (OWI)-first offense. (Sentencing: Honorable Adria A. Kester)
Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignments as follows: Robert Emmett Tracy III, 27, of Jefferson, driving while license barred; Michael David Teeples, 21, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana; and Trinity Glen Welch, 25, of Grand Junction, criminal mischief-fourth degree. Trial dates were set for Nov. 4 in every case.

Summerfield, 31, of Churdan, driving while license barred and child endangerment; Heather Thelma Ott, 33, of Jefferson, possession of methamphetamine and conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine-second offense; Frederick James Lonsdale, 41, of Rippey, possession of methamphetamine-third or subsequent offense and conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance; Soctt Dean Brackett, 49, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana-second offense; and Shirley Ann Henry, 45, of Boone possession of methamphetamine-first offense and possession of marijuana-first offense.
