The Remembering Our Fallen display will be at the Paton-Churdan school Thursday, Sept. 11, through Tuesday, Sept. 16.The display honors the 89 Iowans who have been killed in military service in Iraq and Afghanistan in the War on Terror.
The public is invited to a program at the school at 9 am on the opening day of the exhibit. A different program will be held Sept. 16 at 7 pm. The Churdan public library will host a spaghetti supper that evening from 5 to 6:30 pm. The display can be viewed during the school day and Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 13-14, from 4 to 7 pm.
Having the exhibit in Greene County is possible through a generous donation from the Jefferson Rotary Club, with other sponsorship by the Churdan public library, Paton-Churdan school, United Bank of Iowa in Churdan and Community State Bank in Paton.
