Reports in other media about the arrest on Highway 30 Aug. 4 of parents in a speeding vehicle with two children and a large quantity of drugs and drug paraphernalia stated that Tyler James Alberts was transferred to Greene County where there was an outstanding arrest warrant for him.
Alberts, 36, of Clinton, is charged with theft of services- third degree aiding and abetting in connection with the theft of water at a Jefferson residence. The warrant was issued in April.
In Greene County magistrate court a judgment was entered July 30 in a new case in which Jessica Lynn Fox of Jefferson was charged with public intoxication. She was sentenced to time served. She must pay $48 sheriff’s fees and $60 court costs.
Cases were initiated during the week ending Aug. 1 as follows: David Michael Cannon of Grand Junction, disorderly conduct; Sherry Ann Cannon of Grand Junction, disorderly conduct; and Michael Lynn Heard Sr of Jefferson, theft-fifth degree, aiding and abetting.
Persons paid fines for scheduled traffic violations during the week ending Aug. 1 as follows: Douglas Michael Olgren of Des Moines, failure to carry registration card, $20; Shawn Paul Heaning of Grand Junction, possession of alcohol under age, $200; *Molly Jo Hoskins of Jefferson, failure to obey stop sign and yield right of way, $100; Austin Lee Murphy of Grand Junction minor using tobacco- first offense, $50 (no surcharge or court costs); and Rebecca Lynn Killion of Jefferson, operation without registration, $50.
Also, speed, $80 (11-15 mph over limit): Ruben Chavez Emiliano of Dallas Center.
Speed, $40 (6-10 over): David M. Czajkowski of Oswego, IL, and *Rhonda Rae Larson of Ames.
Speed, $20 (1-5 over): John Lundy Weeks of Macksburg, Silvia Zarate of Perry and Ryan James Mohr of Coon Rapids.
Judgments were entered against individuals for nonpayment of scheduled fines as follows (original fine listed): Quinn L. Palmer of Carroll, speed, $90; Matessa Ann Larsen of Omaha, NE, failure to display registration plate, $20; John R. Payne of Marshalltown and Bradley Howard Hawkins of Paton, speed, $40; and Benito Ortiz-Cervantes of Grand Junction, failure to have valid driver’s license, $200.
The judgment includes a penalty of one-half the original fine and surcharge.
Court costs were $60 on each citation unless otherwise noted.
