Using iPads in business topic of free workshop

The first in a series of free workshops for small business owners and entrepreneurs is being held Monday, July 28, at 6 pm on the topic of using an iPad or tablet in your business.  The session will be held in the meeting room of the Greene County Extension office and is being sponsored by the Expanding Entrepreneurs group and Greene County Extension.  Light refreshments will be served.  Presenter Reagan Osborne will share her experiences in using an iPad over the years as she has grown Greene Bean Coffee.

“The 60-minute workshop is intended to be a very casual event where entrepreneurs and small business owners in and around Greene County can learn new skills to enhance the way they operate their business,” said Michael Cooley, county extension coordinator for ISU Extension and Outreach – Greene County.

During her presentation, Osborne will cover the different roles a tablet has played in her business as it evolved from a two-user home-based business primarily only selling at farmers’ markets to the current bricks and mortar retail coffeehouse with seven employees.  She will also discuss specific apps that they use, how they use them, and the benefits and challenges that they have experienced.

No pre-registration is required to attend and there will be time for questions and answers after Osborne’s presentation.
