Scranton youngsters have free transportation twice a week to the swimming pool in Jefferson thanks to the Scranton Betterment committee’s fundraising efforts.
The pool shuttle is available Tuesdays and Thursdays through Aug. 14. The bus will leave from the east side of the former school at 12:45 pm and arrive back in Scranton at about 4:30 pm.
The transportation is free, but children must pay for their admission to the pool ($4 each) and any concessions they want to purchase.
Permission slips must be signed and turned in before children can ride the shuttle. The permission slips are available at the Scranton public library or at the Scranton office of Peoples Trust & Savings Bank.
