Greene County Farm Bureau, Bomgaars, Durbin Auto, Breadeaux Pizza, and the Twiins Shoppe sponsored the Kids’ Pedal Pull at the Greene County Fair on Saturday, July 12. Thirty-nine youngsters ages 4 – 11 participated in their respective age groups. Pictured at right is 8-year-old winner Katie Pfalzgraff.
With comfortable temperatures, eager young participants got registered and were ready to go when their age group and name was called. Kids and spectators of all ages seem to have fun as parents, grandparents, and friends cheered and encouraged as the kids gave it their all.
Smiles on the kids’ faces could be seen after doing their best and receiving a gift certificate to the Twiins Shoppe for a complimentary small ice cream cone and division winners also receiving a gift certificate to Breadeaux Pizza for a small personal pizza.
Children who won in their age division were: 4 year olds – Jadyn Webber; 5 year olds – Bryce Stephenson; 6 year olds – Eli Schroeder; 7 year olds – Kamden Kinne; 8 year olds – Katie Pfalzgraff; 9 year olds – Mya McClain; 10 year olds – Afton Funcke; and 11 year olds – Caleb Hoyle.
Greene County Farm Bureau thanked all the youngsters who entered, sponsors, spectators, and board members Tom Safley, Jim Giese, Brent Schroeder, James Holz, Mark Naberhaus, and Perry Parker who helped at the pull.
