Habitat for Humanity of Boone and Greene Counties will host an informational meeting for potential partner families Thursday, July 10, at 7 pm at the Greene County Extension office at 104 W. Washington St in Jefferson.
The local Habitat affiliate is making plans to rehab a home in Jefferson. The partner family has not yet been selected. Partner families work side-by-side with volunteers doing needed work on their home, with money for materials available through a no-interest loan from Habitat.
Those who attend the meeting are not obligated to apply for the program, but volunteers will be available to assist in completing the application.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit Christian ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard and poverty housing. Habitat for Humanity welcomes all persons as partner families and volunteers regardless of religious beliefs or affiliations.
