Christ Lutheran and Central Christian churches are co-hosting a summer day camp for area youngsters next week, June 23-26. Campers entering grades 1-6 will attend from 10 am to 2:45 pm. Children ages 4-5 can attend a shortened day from 10 am to 12:30 pm. The day camp will be held at Christ Lutheran, located just north of Greene County High School on Highway 4.
This year’s theme is “In Christ,” based on 2 Corinthians 5:17. A team from Riverside Bible Camp of Story City will provide the worship, music, skits, crafts, Bible study, Jesus and Me time, and games. There is no charge to attend the camp thanks to a gift from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, but all attendees are asked to bring a sack lunch every day.
On Wednesday, June 25, the campers will perform at Regency Park at 2 pm and at Christ Lutheran Church at 7 pm. Refreshments will be served. The community is invited to attend either program.
