The Bell Tower Festival parade is the centerpiece of Saturday activities at the Festival. This year’s parade was windy and rain fell for about five minutes late in the parade, but that didn’t deter the entertainment.
The Jefferson Rotary Club organizes the parade each year; Dr Dave Jaskey served as parade chairman.
Home State Bank won the prize for best use of the Festival theme with an easy twist: There’s no place like home became There’s no place like Home State Bank. Dorothy Gale and Toto, along with her friends rode the float, the Lollipop Guild and the Wizard walked along, and Miss Gulch was there with her bicycle.

Wild Rose Entertainment had a float in the parade in anticipation of its new casino opening in Jefferson next summer.
The Ram marching band included students from grades 8-11 this past year.
The Isiserettes provided their special brand of entertainment during and after the parade.

The Jefferson High School class of 1964 went all out for its 50-year reunion.
The VFW auxiliary provided floats for 16 veterans on two separate floats. A third float carried another 16 veterans who have been on Honor Flights to Washington, DC.
