The Greene County Historical Society will once again host an old-fashioned spelling bee as part of the Bell Tower Festival. This year’s spell-down is slated for Saturday, June 14, at 3 pm at the Greene County Community Center.
Spellers will compete in age categories, starting with children who have completed first grade through adults. The registration book is available now at the Community Center, but spellers can also sign up Saturday. There is no charge to compete or to watch.
Folks who think they know it all can prove it Saturday at the Bell Tower Festival trivia contest. Teams of three will compete in a free contest that begins at 3 pm and concludes at about 5 pm. The event will be held in the lower level business center at the Sierra Community Theatre.
Dr David Jaskey will host the event.
