Tori and Jim Riley of Jefferson, Dan and Brenda Chargo of Glidden, and Pete and Janet Lucas of Roscoe, IL, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Catherine Chargo and Shane Lucas, both of Des Moines.
Catherine graduated from Jefferson-Scranton High School in 2005 and from the University of Iowa with a bachelor of arts degree in history and American studies in 2008. She graduated from Drake University Law School in 2011 and is employed at Bradshaw Fowler Proctor & Fairgrave PC in Des Moines.
Shane graduated from Hononegah High School in Rockton, IL, in 2005 and from Iowa State University with a bachelor of arts degree in history and journalism in 2010. He is an assembly technician at Scheels in West Des Moines and is continuing his education to become teacher certified.
The couple plans to be married June 7 at St Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church in Des Moines.
