In Greene County district court Brian Scott Davis, 36, of Clemons was sentenced May 23 to five years in prison after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of operating while intoxicated (OWI)-third offense. All but 30 days of the prison sentence was suspended. His driver’s license was revoked for six years, and he must complete a community college drunk driving school at his own expense. He was fined $3,125 with a $1,09375 surcharge and a $10 surcharge for drug abuse resistance education (DARE). He must also pay restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees and court costs totaling $180. (Sentencing: Honorable Adrea A. Kester)
Hayley Lynn Brown, 21, of Jefferson was granted a deferred judgment after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of fraudulent use of a credit card. She was placed on probation for two years. She must pay $2,764.53 victim restitution, as well as a $625 civil penalty and a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge. She must pay $120 restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees and $140 court costs. (Sentencing: Kester)
Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment as follows: Katelin Rae Lowmiller, 22, of Jefferson, theft-fourth degree; Kenneth D. Hostetler, 49, of Jefferson, OWI-first offense; and Richard Charles Hiram Lampe III, 41, of Jefferson, theft of services- third degree. Trial dates were set for July 22 in every case.
