Greene County Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with Greene County Development’s housing committee, will host a Greene County rural housing seminar Tuesday, June 3, at the Jefferson Community Golf Course located at 501 W. Greenewood Drive in Jefferson. Social hour begins at 5 pm with dinner at 5:30. The seminar is open to the public.
Guest speaker is Terry Lutz, president and CEO of McClure Engineering. McClure Engineering was founded by John McClure, formerly of Jefferson, and was purchased by Lutz years later.
Lutz works with more than 40 large and small Iowa communities regarding infrastructure, planning, and development needs, and is an active investor in a number of housing projects. The company specializes in public-private housing development, which is the emphasis of the seminar. The presentation will review rural housing needs across the state of Iowa and how other communities are responding to their housing needs.
Lutz has served as a board member for several community banks, Vision Iowa, and on the planning and zoning commission for the city of Clive. He is past president of the Iowa Consulting Engineers Council.
