First Full Moon Ride of the summer is Wednesday

COG logoThe Cyclists of Greene will have its first Full Moon Ride of the year this Wednesday, May 14. The rides are scheduled to catch twilight outbound from Jefferson and return by the light of a full moon.

All COG bicycle rides originate at the Milwaukee depot on E. Lincoln Way in Jefferson, the trailhead of the Raccoon River Valley Trail. The Full Moon Rides are set on the lunar cycle, not a set day of the week, and the start times vary with the length of days. The May Full Moon Ride will leave the depot at 7:30 pm.

The schedule for the rest of the year is Thursday, June 12, depart 7:30 pm; Saturday, July 12, depart 8 pm; Sunday, Aug. 10, depart 7:15 pm; Monday, Sept, 8, depart 6:15 pm; and Wednesday, Oct. 8, depart 6 pm.

Helmets and lights  are required. All riders must sign a liability waiver.

The Cyclists of Greene also host family rides around Jefferson every Sunday evening leaving the depot at 5 pm, and adult rides every Wednesday, leaving the depot at 5:30 pm.
