Spring is here, flowers are popping up, and the Greene County Master Gardeners say now is the time to make your garden beautiful for this summer and fall. The Greene County Master Gardener Plant Sale offers plants taken from Master Gardeners’ own gardens, meaning they are a proven product for this area.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 10, from 9:30 to 11 am (note new time) for the sale, which will be held in the Commercial Building next to Clover Hall at the Greene County Fairgrounds. There will be perennial plants, annual plants, vegetables, water plants, house plants, free literature, and other items for a person’s gardening enjoyment. Master Gardeners will also be available to answer gardening questions. The plants go fast, so come early for the best choices.
The proceeds from this sale are used to support a variety of events offered to the public throughout the year, including free public horticulture programs in Greene County and the maintenance of several public garden areas. Proceeds also help to keep costs low for the group’s annual garden tour, which is held every June and open to all.
