DES MOINES – Gov. Terry E. Branstad on April 25 appointed John J. Haney as district court judge in the Second Judicial District (2B).
Haney, of Marshalltown, earned his law degree from the University of Iowa and is currently working in private practice and as magistrate in Marshall County.
The 2B District includes Boone, Calhoun, Carroll, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Humboldt, Marshall, Pocahontas, Sac, Story, Webster and Wright counties.
Haney fills the vacancy left by Judge Ruigh.
