Everyone wins a chocolate bar at Hershey track meet

Turnout was good for the Hershey track meet April 22 at Linduska Field in Jefferson, with 58 youngsters age 5-14 competing in age-appropriate races.

The free event was hosted by the Jefferson park and recreation department.  All participants received a Hershey candy bar at the end of the meet and ribbons were given to the top three finishers in each event.  First place finishers ages 9 and up qualified for the State Hershey Track Meet in Marshalltown on Saturday, June 14.

JPRD staff  thanked the meet helpers Wendy Pittman, Madison Taute, Cassie Dozier, Cassidy Adamson, Cheli Stroburg, Wyatt Tipton, Chris Hulburt, and Kelley Gray.
