All Relay for Life teams are reminded that funds raised to date should be dropped off at the Jefferson office of Peoples Trust & Savings Bank next week, April 21-25, during regular bank hours.
At that time, team captains can pick up T-shirts for their teams. Relay for Life T-shirts are available for all registered team members who have raised $50 or more for the Relay.
Anyone can track the fundraising progress of the Relay by clicking on the ad/link on GreeneCountyNewsOnline. As of Wednesday morning, more than $10,200 has been reported, with Jane Nelson of Jefferson as the top fundraiser. On the team tally, St Joe’s Holy Walkamolies and the Cancer Crusaders are in the top two spots.
The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Greene County will be held Saturday, April 26, at the Greene County Community Center. Team check-in and walking will begin at 9:30 am. The traditional luminaria ceremony will take place at 2 pm.
