Students do well at Iowa Central business competition

A group of nine Greene County and Paton-Churdan high school students competed in the 23rd annual Iowa Central Business Competition Day April 2 in Fort Dodge. A total of 230 students from 17 schools competed.

Local students took the first three places in the office calculators competition, with Hannah Onken placing first, Stephen Molle placing second and Jordan Hostetler placing third. Onken also placed second in word processing applications, and Wesley Tipton placed second in marksmanship. Dylan McConnell placed fourth in Introduction to Business.

Instructors are Tony Beger, Teresa Green and Mavis Sawhill, along with practicum teacher Sherry Meyer. A total of 25 instructors had students at the competition.
