Scranton city water was found to be bacteria-free in the first lab tests, city clerk Melinda Hinners reported at 10:30 Tuesday morning. Boil advisory lifted in Scranton

Scranton city residents no longer must boil their water to assure it is safe for consumption. The boil advisory, put in place Monday after repair work to a water main required water service to be shut off, was ended Thursday morning. Two laboratory tests of the city water revealed no harmful bacteria.

BRR is a boost for Rippey

  The Perry Chamber of Commerce’s Bike Ride to Rippey, BRR, held the first Saturday of February for many years, provides fundraising opportunities for Rippey organizations.
