The Greene County girls and boys basketball teams both lost games Saturday.
The girls suffered a lopsided 65-26 loss to the Heart of Iowa conference champion Nevada Cubs in the regional tournament opener in Nevada. The game was the sixth consecutive loss to end the season for the Rams with a 9-13 record.
Stacy Mears and Kayla Mobley scored eight points each and Hannah Onken scored six.
The boys hosted the Perry Blue Jays for a non-conference game and lost 86-74. Riah Nelsen led the Rams in scoring with 24 points. Trey Tucker scored 20 and Mitchell Gorsuch came off the bench to score 11 points. The game ended the regular season for the Rams with a 6-14 overall record.
