LifeServe Blood Center will hold blood drives in Jefferson and Grand Junction in the coming weeks.
The Jefferson blood drive will be Tuesday, Feb. 11, from 12:30 to 5:30 pm in the public health classroom at Greene County Medical Center.
The Grand Junction blood drive is slated for Monday, Feb. 17, from 3 to 6:30 pm at the First Presbyterian Church.
Every two seconds, someone, somewhere needs blood; and while 38 percent of the population is eligible to donate, less than 10 percent of the eligible population actually donate.
Blood donations can be scheduled online at lifeservebloodcenter.org or by calling 800-287-4903.
During the month of February blood donors can donate coloring books for children at participating local hospitals by donating their points back at the LifeServe Online Store!
