The Greene County Rams beat the Gilbert Tigers 34-30 in a Heart of Iowa wrestling meet Thursday in Jefferson.
The Rams won eight of the 11 matches wrestled. Dylan Forkner (126) and Jeremy Scheuermann (152) earned wins by fall. Wins by major decision came from sophomore Tommy Bradshaw (138), now 28-1 on the season, Jacob Challen (120), Jordan Challen (132), and Hunter Ruth (182). Wins by decision were added by Abe Yoder (145) and Daric Whipple (160).
The Rams are now 9-10 overall and 4-3 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference. The loss left the Gilbert Tigers at 17-5 overall and 4-2 in the HOIAC.
