Workshop slated for Jan. 14
Applications for the Greene County Community Foundation’s 2014 grant cycle are now available at the ISU Extension & Outreach office in Jefferson and online at http://www.extension.iastate.edu/greene/page/greene-county-community-foundation.
Completed applications are due at the Extension office by 4:30 pm Thursday, Feb. 13. “We are excited to see what projects people are dreaming of doing this coming year. We really encourage organizations around the county to submit a grant application,” said Linda Hedges, co-chair of the Foundation’s grant-making committee.
A workshop on the grant application is planned for Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 7 pm at the Extension office. Anyone new to the Community Foundation grant process is encouraged to attend. Persons who would like more information about the workshop or the grant application process can call Hedges at 515-386-4740 or the Extension office at 515-386–2138.
Board members of the Foundation will score the applications on Feb. 22 and grants will be awarded and available on Monday, April 7.
The Foundation will accept grant applications of up to $35,000. This year the Foundation anticipates awarding a total of $100,000.
