The Paton-Churdan Rockets girls and boys basketball teams were handed their first losses of the season in Westside Friday night.
The girls were ranked #9 in 1A by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union on Thursday. They lost to Ar-We-Va by a score of 59-42. Ar-We-Va was ranked #11 in 1A going into Friday night’s game. Chris Petersen coaches the P-C girls.
The boys team lost its first game by a score of 68-29. Chris Stimson is boys coach.
