Prairie Blue tells holiday plans

Unique gifts produced by local artists and farmers will be showcased at the Buy Local/Eat Local open house at Prairie Blue Creative Arts on the west side of the courthouse square. Fine art, prints, local natural and grass-fed meats, goat milk soaps and more will be available for purchase directly from local artists and farmers. The holiday shop will be open Thursday, Dec. 12, from 5:30 to 9 pm and Saturday, Dec. 14, from 1 to 9 pm.

Area residents are invited to “unwrap some fun” with live music Thursday, Dec. 12, at 7:30 pm as The Lowest Pair, a singer/songwriter duo from Washington (on tour through the Midwest) takes the state with banjo picking and harmonies.

The Prairie Blue Christmas (PARTY) will be Saturday, Dec. 14. Local musicians will entertain beginning at 7 pm, with special guests Chad Elliott and Bonita Crowe taking the stage at 7:45. Complimentary refreshments will be served (or bring your own).

There is no cover charge for either music event, but the hat will be passed for the musicians. All are welcome.
