Greenespeak, an evening of original, local poetry, will be a highlight of Black Coffee Friday on Friday, Nov. 29, at Greene Bean Coffee in Jefferson.
Poets are invited to an open mic from 7 to 9 pm. Members of the Coven poetry group plan to read, and all area poets of all ages, male and female, are welcome.
“We’re excited to host the first Greenespeak,” said Reagan Osborne, owner of Greene Bean Coffee. “We have just the right informal, intimate atmosphere for a really special evening of poetry.”
Poets who plan to read are asked to sign up at Greene Bean Coffee before the event to make planning easier. The sign-up is requested but not required.
Greene Bean Coffee will offer $1 cups of coffee, any size, all day on Black Coffee Friday.
