CARF International has announced that Genesis Development has received its highest accreditation award for Services Coordination; Supported Living Services; Community Employment Services – Employment Supports, Job Development, and Employment Planning; Organizational Employment Services (work centers); Community Housing (group homes); Community Integration (Discovery programs); Mental Health (adults, children, adolescents) – Assessment & Referral, Crisis Intervention, and Outpatient Treatment; and Governance Standards Applied. This is the 11th consecutive three-year accreditation that the international accrediting body has awarded to Genesis.

The organization demonstrated to a six-person team of surveyors during three days of on-site visits that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable, and accountable.
Genesis is a not-for-profit organization with offices in Jefferson, Boone, Storm Lake, Winterset, Indianola, Belle Plaine, Toledo, Perry, Adel, Cedar Rapids, and Grinnell. Genesis has been providing services for people with disabilities since 1973.
