A large crew of volunteers, most of them Jehovah’s Witnesses, took about six weeks to build a new Kingdom Hall on N. Elm St in Jefferson.
The $230,000 hall includes an auditorium, library and restrooms. The new, highly visible hall replaces a smaller hall in a residential neighborhood.
There are an estimated 60 practicing Jehovah’s Witnesses in Greene County. Other nearby Kingdom Halls are in Guthrie Center, Boone, Lake City and Fort Dodge.
