Marchant Memorial Library news and events

The Marchant Memorial Library board of trustees discussed re-opening the library at the last board meeting on Monday, May 11. After much discussion, it was decided that the library building will remain closed to the public at this time. The trustees and the library director hope that everyone will understand that this decision was made with the health of our employees and the community in mind. They will discuss the re-opening plans again at our next library board meeting on Monday, June 8.

The library will continue to offer the curbside delivery for patrons who request materials through the website, email, or calling the library. Patrons can get in touch with the library through the email (admin@scranton.lib.ia.us) or by calling 712-652-3453. Leave a message and library director Wendy Johnson will return the call.

The newest books and movies are listed on the library’s website and on the Facebook page. Patrons also have 24/7 access to the library’s online resources through the Libby or Overdrive apps. Patrons will need to have their library card number to access these resources.
