Ten more COVID-19 deaths reported

The Iowa Department of Public Health reported 181 additional cases of COVID-19 during the 24 hours ending April 17 at 10 am. The new cases make a total of 2,513 positive cases in Iowa.

Ten Iowans died during the reporting period, including adults age 41-60 in Linn and Tama counties; two adults age 61-80 in Polk and one each in Appanoose and Louisa counties; and two adults age 81 or older in Linn, one in Muscatine and one in Polk counties. Seventy-four Iowans have died from the disease.
