Registration open for many JPRD programs

Registrations are being accepted for several Jefferson park and recreation programs as follows:

Adult 6-on-6 co-ed volleyball – Games Sunday afternoons at 3, 4, and 5 pm, starting Feb. 9 at Greene County Community Center. Limit of 10 players per team (balance of men and women). Team registration, $75, due by Feb. 5. Minimum of four teams for league, maximum of eight teams.

Mini-basketball – For boys and girls grades 3-4. Learn fundamentals of shooting, dribbling, rebounding, passing and defense. Tuesdays and Thursdays, after school to 4:30 pm, at the community center. Supervised bussing from the elementary school to the community center will be provided. GCCC members $10, non-members $15. Registration deadline Monday, Jan. 27.

Indoor youth soccer – Mondays, Feb 17- March 9, at the community center. Grades 3-4, 5:30 to 6:10 pm; grades 5-6, 6:15-7:15 pm. Coaches Chad Black and Chad Schwander. Limit 20 players per session. GCCC members $15; non-members $20. Registration deadline Friday, Feb. 14.

Art in the Afternoon – For children in grades 1-5, instructor Jolene Peters. Wednesdays, Feb. 19- March 11, 2-3:30 pm, at the community center. Students will make at least two fun pieces of artwork using paints, inks, stencils, canvas and/or wood. Emphasis on imagination and creativity. GCCC members $60, non-members $70. Maximum 20 participants, minimum 10.

Daddy Daughter Dance – Friday, Feb. 21, 6:30-9 pm at the community center. For fathers, grandfathers, or father figures and their special girl(s) in grades PreK-5. Music by BassMakers DJ, photos available by Meythaler Photography. GCCC members $20/couple, $5 each additional girl. Non-members $25/couple, $5 each additional girl. Registration deadline Monday, Feb. 17.
