Community Foundation grant apps available

Applications for the 2020 grant cycle of the Greene County Community Foundation are now available, said Tori Riley, president of the Foundation board.

Grow Greene County, which provides funds to the Community Foundation, as allocated $140,000 to the Community Foundation’s 2020 grant cycle. In the past 14 years the Community Foundation has awarded grants totaling $1.5 million to non-profit organizations and governmental entities.

Like the past two years, a short application form is available for grants of $3,000 or less.
Organizations applying for more than $3,000 will complete a longer form that includes more detailed information about the proposed project.

Both grant application forms are now available online  at www.forgreenecounty.org Completed applications are due at the Journey Financial office at Home State Bank by Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, at 4 pm. Applications may also be emailed to greeneccf@gmail.com by the Feb. 14 deadline.

Like last year, the Foundation will accept grant applications of up to $35,000. Grant applications for more than $35,000 should be directed to Grow Greene County.

Greene County Community Foundation board members will review and score the applications in February. Grants will be awarded and available in mid-March.
