Greene County fifth graders once again participated in the American Legion’s essay contest on the topic “What the Flag Means to Me.”
Winners were announced Dec. 19 at the school. Zach Stalder placed first; his essay will be entered into district competition. Shawn Gordon placed second and Kaydin Wells placed third.
American Legion Post 11 commander Phil Thompson and essay contest chairperson Barb Labate presented them with certificates.
