Schools plan Veterans Day events

The Paton-Churdan High School invites all veterans, spouses and the community to attend the annual Veterans Day program Monday, Nov. 11, at 9 am. The event will be held in the gymnasium.

Students will perform musical and dramatic presentations. Veterans and their families are invited to join the students and staff for coffee and rolls following the program.

That evening, the Churdan American Legion Post No. 198 will serve their annual Veterans Day soup supper from 5 -7 pm at the P-C school. Chili, potato, vegetable and oyster stew will be served for a free will offering. The public is invited to attend.

At Greene County High School, veterans are invited to breakfast served by the National Honor Society at 7:15 am at the Ram Restaurant at the school. Veterans will be honored at a school assembly in the auditorium at 9 am.
