Cousins meet – Jean Borgeson met her sister and husband, Dean and Elayne Bice of Johnston, at the Whistling Donkey in Woodward on Saturday, Aug. 17. They were joined by their cousins Joni Siglin and her daughter Tracy DeLong. They enjoyed eating outside and catching up with family news. The last time they were together was at the funeral of their husband, dad and cousin, Bill, a year ago. It was kind of bittersweet, but the laughter prevailed.

Student send-off – Sunday evening Jean Borgeson joined family members at the home of Alan and Sarah Borgeson to wish the students in the group good luck as the three, Kane and Kale Borgeson as well as Jenna Beyers, start another chapter in their lives.

Jean is always amazed how fast time has gone by, when I watch all the grandchildren and their friends go off to school. Kane and Kale’s other grandparents, Al and Ann Frederick, were there also, to wish them well. When Jean left, Kane and Grandpa Al were playing an exciting game of cards before he left for Sheldon to continue his studies.
