It was a quiet morning Monday for the Greene County board of supervisors with two supervisors absent and no controversial topics to consider.

Supervisors John Muir, Pete Bardole, and Tom Contner discussed Bardole becoming a liaison between the board and Jefferson Matters: Main Street’s Tower View Team when board assignments are made at the first of the year.

Chuck Wenthold, environment department, presented a map showing possible re-drawn boundaries for the 15 regions that Iowa Workforce Development serves. These boundaries could go into effect July 1, 2020.

The board unanimously approved the hiring of Ryan Moranville as fulltime EMT with Greene County Ambulance at a yearly salary of $32,000.

The Greene County recorder’s report of fees collected for July was also accepted.
The board adjourned and immediately came to order again for a drainage trustee meeting to consider scheduling a bid letting for DD14. It was scheduled for Sept. 30 at 9:45 am. A public hearing for the creation of a new drainage district, DD191, was rescheduled for Sept. 30 at 10:15 am.
